Have tried installing Universal Control 1.6 or 1.5 (being XP compatible) and in both cases, whilst the StudioLive is recognised when connected, and drivers installed, running the Universal Control software gives the following error :
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d). Click on OK to terminate the application.
Any one else had this issue, and suggest a fix for it?
Thanks

First of all makes sure you're on Windows XP with Service Pack 3 installed.

Then make sure you've run ALL of your Windows XP updates.

If you're still having issues you may need to reset your systems 1394 device file, Adaptec has a good article on this:

If you continue to have issues, we strongly suggest moving up to at least Windows 7 as we still support the original StudioLive consoles and Windows 7 is the oldest OS we currently support with UC 1.7.5.
