Cutting part of midi clip doesn't cut sustain pedal events

I have a midi part on a track that includes sustain events. If I highlight and cut a portion of the midi thus leaving a hole in the track or leaving the midi part shorter than it was I find that the sustain events are not cut also. It seems the only way is to separately erase them in the event editor. This seems un-intuitive since you can see where the midi events were cut in the track and you expect that all events would be cut. It seems that cutting a piece of a midi part in a track only erases the notes and not all midi data (like other sequencers). Is there any way to cut midi data that acts on all midi events in a range?

Hi Jon,

When you split a midi event the continuous controllers remain as they are.  If sustain was on at the part cut it will remain on until it reaches an event that turns it off.   If you would prefer other optional behavior that would be a feature request.
