In Score Setup, there should be separate staff settings for Full Score and for Dynamic Parts. (Where in the Staff Settings for Dynamic Parts there should be a checkbox "Same as in Full Score" which disables all options for Dynamic Parts Staff Settings for the selected staff).

This is an important requirement, for these and other reasons:

  • For Guitar staves, the conductor doesn't need to see the tablature staff in the Full Score. But the single guitar player might need a dynamic part where he sees both the notation staff and the integrated tablature staff (or only the tablature staff).
  • The conductor needs to see instrument names in all staves throughout the full score, while the single player does not need instrument names in all notation lines of his dynamic part.
  • Etc.

You can already hide the staff names for dynamic parts:

Score > Parts Options > Layout

There choose "none" for both "titles on first system" and "titles following".

As for the other, IMHO it would be easier to add a checkbox "hide tabulature" to the full score options. Related to this idea would be a checkbox "show part title in page header" for the dynamic part options. So you see the instrument name where it belongs: on the top of the page below the name of the opus. Or perhaps make it a select box "part title in header": "no", "below subtitle", "in place of subtitle".
