I received my StudioLive 32 Series 3 in Early July and Updated the firmware at that time. I'm away from the mixer now, so I don't know what version it was.

Anyway, I have a dynamic mic connected to the talkback input. I have adjusted the gain and I can see an input level peaking around -12 db on the input meters. In the Talkback Edit screen, I have set the source to Analog and assigned the talkback to Main, AUX 1, and AUX 2. As far as understand, I should now hear the talkback mic through all 3 of those outputs when I toggle or hold the Talk button, but I get nothing. Am I missing something?

You must assign the Talkback (TB) on each MIX as well as on the MAIN.

For instance for AUX 1 you must get into the (MIX 1) LAYER. Once there you must do two things, first is to go to the Talkback input channel TB and increase the fader volume. This sets the overall volume of the Talkback Mic in relationship to the other channels you are assigning to AUX 1. Second, you must increase the AUX 1 Master volume which is the overall volume for the output assigned to AUX 1. A floor wedge or IEM attached to AUX 1 should now receive the Talkback signal when the TALK button is pressed. BTW - if you have some cans connected and you solo the Ax 1 OUT Channel Strip, you should hear the Talkback Mic.

This same procedure must be repeated for each Flex Mix (AUX) that you assign the Talkback to. It also includes sending the Talkback into the Main Mix which is done the same way.

NOTE:

The Talkback volume on each MIX Output and the MAIN will be independently controlled by volume you have set on the TB for the respective Mix or Main channel.

If you see the talkback mic working on a given Flex Mix (TB) input - but do not see it on the respective Mix Output, it is most probably because you don't have it turned on in the Talkback Edit Screen.

Be careful when assigning Talkback to the MAINS...

See if this works for you!
