I recently just got the MXL 990. I have the Presonus Audio Box USB 96 with 48V. I also have Studio One 3 installed in a HP Pavilion. I went through all of their settings, doing Troubleshoot for Audio and Mic, I went through the audio settings of the program, made sure it was set on 48v, changed the audio devices for the program from Windows Audio, to ASIO4ALv2, and of course the Audio Box. I also went through the Audio Box settings and changed the sample rates, and experimented with the Audio I/O Setup, both inputs and outputs. The MXL 990 mic is registered by the computer and the program, but all I recieve through the headphones or computer audio, is static. It shows that it maintains a spike, but I currently believe that either the mic is broken, or it is not compatible with the Audio Box that I have.
