Can Quantum serve as a midi interface?

In the manual I only see reference to using the midi input for interface control, etc. Can it also serve as a midi interface for a midi controller? The reason I ask is I thought it might be better than the usual USB midi interface.

Yes, the Quantum definitely serves as a standard MIDI I/O and it may very well be much faster than a typical USB MIDI device.
Thunderbolt is fast.
