External Midi into a MicroKorg

I have bought a microKORG which I'm really loving the sounds.  My problem is that I'm a pretty terrible keyboard player so was hoping to route the piano roll from within Studio One 3 into the MIDI input of my Korg (that way I can draw in the notes etc) and then record the output audio from it as an Audio Track.

Is this possible?

I have a midi in/out USB cable and the keyboard is found etc - in fact I can use it as a MIDI keyboard input - just can't seem to pass MIDI note data to it.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Hi,

To send midi to that keyboard create an External Instrument Device as outlined in the user manual section Setup > Setup Your Midi Devices and on the device setup, assign the Send To port to the Korg keyboard.

Here's a tech support article on it:  https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/210044153-Studio-One-How-do-I-setup-a-hardware-keyboard-synthesizer-in-Studio-One-
