I am kind of new to S1 and switched from Pro Tools a few weeks back. I am editing Midi and tried to sync it with some Audio Loops. I had to change the tempo from 140 to 70 bpm, so I had to double the time of the recorded Midi part. Thing is: I can use the time-stretch option in the arrangement (no big deal, the little clocky thingy) but with that I have to look how many measures there are and move it until I have half as much measures.

Then I tried what seemed to be more convenient: using the "Actions => Stretch" Option with "Double Tempo". First it seemed to work as expected but a closer look revealed that only the notes had been moved/stretched while all aftertouch and sustain events where still at their original places thus leaving me with an unusable piano track. Does anybody know how to double the tempo in the midi editor with all the events moving along? My workaround works, cause it's a workaround... But I'd like to have a fast option to do this since tempo issues are better quickly adressed when ocurring...

Hi,

You are correct about those functions not including CC data.   In your stated example however...

I had to change the tempo from 140 to 70 bpm,

The midi clips, if they were already on the timeline, should have followed the tempo changes and automatically sized to half speed, including the CC's, assuming the instrument track was set to "beats" in the Inspector.  If they weren't already on the timeline, yes, you may have to manually stretch them to half speed to keep the CC data lined up.
