While I was working on a project my computer had a BSOD, after trying to restart my studio one, my project didn't open. Every single project that i would try to open got stuck on loading the first instrument vst. Then after some trying I found out it was only the vst2.4s that would crash my studio one, but its every single one of them, not just one. Does this mean i have to remove all vst2.4 plugins from all my projects and then readd them?

Sorry to hear about the recent issues you have been experiencing.

First, since there was a BSOD, you are going to want to run a SFC File Checker Scan in Windows to repair errors. Here are instructions from Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

Let it run its course. This could take some time, be patient and allow the scan to complete. Then test again.

If the issue remains, you have to temporarily remove the 2.4 plugs from your plug-ins folder so Studio One will not scan them on launch.

Create a folder on your desktop, label it VST24 for instance.

Move all of your VSTs into that folder on your desktop. Launch Studio One and see if the crash remains.

If Studio One does not crash.

1. Move the VSTs back into the original folder a couple plug-ins at a time.
2. Relaunch Studio One.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you are able to reproduce the crash. Remove that version of the plug-in and keep the version that works. Sometimes the 2.4 version crashes while the VST 3 version works.

Should neither version of a plug work with Studio One, you will need to either try reinstalling with a fresh copy of the plug, or you will need to contact the developer of that plugin and report that it is not working in Studio One.

If after doing all the above steps you are still unable to open Studio One, please create a ticket to technical support.
