melodyne tempo error message

Hello, I'm running Studio One 3 Artist on Windows 10 with Melodyne essentials.

Sometimes when I edit a clip in Melodyne the text in the Edit/undo drop down menu says "undo tempo change" instead of "undo edit with Melodyne".  In these cases, I have not modified the tempo but only corrected pitch.  It is also more often than not, not "undoable".  I have to go to audio/undo melodyne and start over.  No matter how many times I try to undo the "undo tempo change" will not go away.

Thanks

Michael

The only time I’ve seen this auto tempo feature being an issue is when the session is recorded without a tempo grid. ie recording a song or vocal which should be set to 160bpm yet the tempo wasn’t used and remained at 120bpm. Hence melodyne is going to assume your session was at 120bpm and attempt to snap to said grid.

Switching your time ruler to seconds will remove the tempo grid feature.

Thanks TRevMGB,  My file began with me dragging a midi file onto the work space.  Would this not set the tempo.  The files also contains tempo changes and rits.  It does not seem to bee during the tempo changes or rits that the problem occurs.  I'll try your solution.  The problem with my mind is that I can't stand it when things don't work as they should.....I always need to know why!

Just realized that I already changed the time grid to seconds as I like to know where I am time wise in the song.
