Hi, as I cannot afford active speakers for my AudioBox iTwo can I connect the speaker output to my Hi Fi amp auxiliary socket and use my normal Hi Fi speakers with it. I would use a 2 mono jacks to 2 phono jacks cable for this.

Hope this is possible - anyone know??

Thank you

You can. Not ideal, but you can. Not ideal because home stereo equipment is designed to make music sound good. Studio monitors are designed to be accurate. Its possible you could make some bad mix decisions based on what you hear being colored by both the speakers and the stereo amp.

That being said, use what you have and make the best of it. Keep the cables as short as possible to avoid static from the cables. You are going from a balanced connection at the audiobox, to an unbalanced connection on the stereo. Balanced connections/cables use one of the wire conductors to shield against noise like this.
