Question

I am trying to connect a MacBook to a StudioLive 24.4.2 mixer. We have never used any of the software that came with the system. I need to be able to make digital recordings of the service using the Firewire connection.  I have a Firewire 400 to 800 cable which plugs into an Apple Thunderbold adapter.  I cannot get the laptop and StudioLive to connect.
