I have been through the settings and searched the forum but cannot find how to show the Volume Automation as dB rather than % (percent). I have seen YT tutorials with DB so it must be possible.

As we discovered in your support request, plugin parameters are the determining factor as to what values or ranges get exposed to the DAW, so if you need db for volume use fader automation which does show in db values.
