how do I setup a subwoofer mix linked to master fader?

Hi, What is the procedure for sending bass drum etc. to a sub woofer through a LPF and having it linked to the master fader (selecting pre/post seems to have no effect and I don't yet understand the flexi mix options). This (digital) newbie is stumped.

Try with the Mono Output. next to the Master LR
