Imported MIDI file: All instrument tracks stuck on Channel 1

I have imported a MIDI file from another DAW, and although Studio One seems to import it successfully, one particular confusing thing happens...

All tracks in my project are assigned to Channel 1, therefore, they all have to be the same instrument. I'm not able to change Channel numbers (I've researched this for over an HOUR) and I'm completely stuck. How do I split them to different Channels? A Google and YouTube search have not helped me at all.

Why are all my tracks the same Channel? And is every imported MIDI file going to put all my tracks on the same Channel?

Any information is appreciated! Thanks.

Studio One always splits MIDI files to separate tracks.  If you assign a track to a multi-timbral instrument like for example UVI workstation, you'll see MIDI channel lists appear on the track to choose the MIDI channel.

Otherwise, MIDI channel will have no purpose and you won't have a selection list for the channel.
