Question

I understand that I can connect internet coming from my router to the LINK section on SW5E to get everything (Series III and 32R) on the same network.  The question is, can I then take one of the jacks from the SW5E and wire connect it to my laptop so that I can utilize a wired connection to do live broadcasting to social media outlets?  Just trying to limit the amount of cables running from router to the SW5E.

Yes, the SW5E also acts as a workgroup 5 port gigabit switch.

Just that any AVB devices must be connected to it to transfer audio traffic.

You can connect the SW5E to your router or other switches for other non-audio ethernet traffic.

The AVB protocol is designed to pass normal traffic along side Audio / Video traffic.
