I would like to notate a beat but would like to play one part at a time.  For example play the bass drum pattern first, then go back and rerecord the snare pattern ect…

I'm using notion for IOS.  I recorded the bass drum part but when I went back and recorded the snare line it replaced the previous bass drum part with the new part.  Any advice on this issue?  I did read that you can select different voices that look like V1, V2, V3, V4 that should be located next to the drum squares but I'm not seeing it.

These are the steps I already tried

I hit the red record button and made sure Multi-Voice was turned on.  I also tried toggling on and off the melody/chord mode. When I created a new song I only selected the drumset.

Thanks

Hi,
in the iOS app, you can use the voices (V1-4) to input into different drum lines - you can tap or use the onscreen drumpad to enter notes. There is a known issue with real time record in however, when using different voices in the same measure.

I think basically you have to set it to show a "chord" but rather than a chord made of notes, it's a chord made of different drum sounds. At least, that's how I do it.
