Question

There's one thing that I just can't figure out recording on Studio One 4. How can I select a piece of my song to record over it, setting the end of the recording without pressing the "stop record" button? I've seen a lot of tutorials about it, but yet there's not much about Studio One 4

I presume you're asking about punching in and out?  I don't have S14 but in S13 set up the loop feature (I trust you know how this is done) and then just to the left of the metronome buttons at the bottom of the screen there is a little button to switch on called "Auto Punch".  Pressing the "I" key on the keyboard will also switch it off and on.  Recording will happen between the loop start and stop.  I prefer to have the loop off ("/" to toggle off and on) but it will work either way.

I also need this feature. When i select an event. Loop follows event. I hit record. Record begins. And it STOPS AUTOMATICALLY at the end of a loop.
