Question

I bought Studio One 4 Professional not too long ago and this has had me stumped. I can't work out why they would make some of the kits immediately compatible with drum pad controllers and some of them are not.

They originally followed General MIDI I think and at some point (I think due to user feedback) they changed them to start on a C note. Seems to be a mostly clear cut case of how it's very difficult to make everyone happy :) Some very popular drum machine style controllers like Maschine start all their templates at C. If they went back and changed the old ones people would be unhappy that they changed those ones so it was probably safer to make the new ones different.
