Studio 1824 and the activation of the 48v on the audio inputs

hello,

Today with the 1824, 48v activation is done on all audio inputs. It's really annoying if you work with multiple microphones with and without the 48v, and therefore the 1824 sound card is unusable in this context.

In a future version of UC Surface, you can either choose which inputs have an impact on the 48v button, or you can trigger the 48v directly on the audio input concerned. The first solution for me would be the best.wink

Thank you!

Hello,

I answer SaintJoe's answer: "not a fan of activating 48v on all inputs ... strange feature". Your answer is contradictory, by default Studio 1824 has the possibility only to activate the 48v on all audio inputs. What I ask is that we can activate the 48v on the audio inputs that we would have selected.

The only reason I'm not buying a 1824c right now... is because of that dumb feature... whom truly record with 8 condenser mic all at once? Most of us has some synths, audio effect racks and such ... I dont wanna activate it all at once.. wtf

I wish there was a way to activate it per channel, it would be much more realistic

Would've bought the 1824 if it had separate(eg.192 style)/partial 48v activation. I mean even a way to select only 1-4 or 5-8 would be WAY better than all-or-nothing!

This is exactly why I'm still using my Firestudio Project. I have two mics that need phantom power and putting these two on the same channel pair is absolutely perfect!

Presonus gods, you got it right with the Project and even the 192. Why take this away from us with the current hardware model? At least give us software control via UC Surface or something.

Wow, it's been two years since I chimed in and this still hasn't been addressed? I came here because my Firestudio Project finally bit the dust recently and I'm looking for the closest replacement for it.
