hi everyone, is there a way studio one 4 can detect the tempo of something? what i mean is, if i just strum a guitar chord for a few bars can it find an "average" tempo? you see i'm terribly disrhythmic. i have a hard time following a click especially playing something slow, so when writing a song i find it very hard to decide on what the BPM should be. so i guess if i had something that could "hear" what i'm doing it could tell me it should be 80BPM or 100BPM.  does any of this make sense? just think back (if you're old enough) watching american bandstand or soul train and see how ridiculous white people looked dancing. that's me.

thanks so much

@Bbd

That article was for Studio One v. 1.65, probably close to ten years old, and it also doesn't do what the OP asked for, which is detecting the tempo of an audio track, not timestretching an audio event to match a desired tempo.

 I also would like to know the answer to this!
