NSB Manual extract: "With the exception of the StudioLive 16R, every StudioLive Series III mixer is a 36x18 channel mixer, regardless of its complement of onboard I/O."  

My question is how many channels does the "SL Series 3 16r" have for working with the NSB stage boxes? I would like to know because i am thinking of getting a "SL s3 16r" for a control room and adding two nsb 8.8 in the recording room with the hope of getting 16 aux output for headphone monitoring.

The Series III 16R is a 16ch mixer with 6 Aux outputs. It can not expand past this regardless of the amount of NSB stage boxes you add.
