Hi,

how do you search sounds for Impact?

Example:

I'm looking for a certain drum, e.g. a snare. Now I have the soundset with the presets and all different snares all spread among the presets. Now I have to load the presets one after another and click the pads to hear if it's a snare-like sound. Repeat for every sound for every song.

I tried to locate the sample source for Impact, but it's a packed archive. Then I made own presets and put same drum classes together. Now I have Hihats1, Hihats2 asf. If I'm looking for a sound, I'm clicking through my presets, then "select in pool" and then drag it to a new Impact.

Is it really so difficult? I guess almost nobody uses the factory presets like they are but wants to build their own. I want to have it grouped in Kick, Snare, Hihat asf. What if I have other sounds in files? Then I have two different workflows to achive the same thing.

I mean, do I really have to transform all the soundset sounds into wave manually or did I miss anything? I found that extrachting the soundset archives isn't possible...? For? Copy protection?
