I just bought new Presonus eris e4.5 studio monitors. Whenever I turn them on I'm hearing a low frequency tone. I thought it may be a ground loop or something with the aux-cable but that did not seem to be the problem.
The tone isn't very loud but when I put the speakers on very silent I can hear it through the music. My main concern is that this tone could harm my mixing. I'm using the monitors mainly for making music in a DAW.
