Will a 16/24/32R accept any digital snake through the network jack? I know there are the stage boxes, but I only need a  4 port drop snake and buying a N8.8 will break the budget. Curious if something like a Soundtools cat box would work as a way to add additional I/O. I have a 16R. Wish PreSonus made a N4.2 (4 ins, 2 out).

No, the Series III will only work with a NSB stage box or another Series III mixer to get its inputs.
