I have studio one 3 prime and I am trying to figure out how to use my guitar as a midi controller without modifying it. I have seen it done with reatune. It allows you to send midi events when the pitch changes. But I can't seem to find anything like that on studio one 3. I tried searching the internet for a couple hours but nothing came up. I have a mac and a presonus audio box. I run the audio from my amp to my audio box via a normal guitar cable fed into a livewire direct box and then into the audio box through a mic cable. Would I have to run it through a 3rd party? If so what would work best? Is there another way to do this directly through studio one 3?

I don't personally know how to do this live.

But you can record your guitar and then open it in melodyne, and export the note information as midi, which can then be played separately. God bless

You cannot use Studio One 3 or 4 as a guitar controller. Studio One does not handle separate MIDI channel as input or output (channel 1 = string 6, channel 2 = string 5, channel 3 = string 4, channel 4 = string 2 and channel 1 = string 6 -- which is the MIDI guitar protocol standard)
