Connecting a MIDI controller to Studio One Trial on Windows

I have been trialing (if there is such a word) 4 or 5 different DAWs over the past 2 weeks and I have decided to go with Studio One Professional. So tonight I decided to connect my IK Multimedia I/O 49 keyboard.

This keyboard is not in the list of keyboards in the drop down menu of keyboards so I added it as a “new” keyboard. Everything went smooth until I got to the “receive from” and “send to” prompt. The “send to” prompt recognizes the IK Multimedia keyboard so I can select it but the “receive from” prompt does not have it listed as an option. The only selection in the drop down menu is “None.”

I am sure I have Sound drivers set correctly since I do hear notes played when I click the mouse on a key of the virtual keyboard on the Mai Tai plug-in.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do next to connect my keyboard? If there is no option in the drop down menu in the “Receive From” prompt does that mean that my keyboard is not supported? I also tried to install a Line 6 25 keyboard with the same results. As I am sure everyone is aware there are not a lot of options to set a keyboard so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I thank anyone for reading about my issue and hopefully someone can solve this issue or lead my in the right direction.

Hi there,

I am experiencing exactly the same issue out here.

My keyboard controller is Naktar LX49+ and if I go to the drop down menu [Receive From], there is only one option that I can click on which is [none]

I don't get any options to choose from and this is driving me crazy..

Did you happen to sort out the problem?

Josh
