Running on Mac OSX High Sierra

I recently purchased the 1824 and when I first hooked up my equipment I plugged my hardware compressor sends into outputs 1-4.  I immediately noticed that they were all receiving audio before I had changed any routing and consulted the manual.  In the manual for the 1824 it states that the audio streams for the "Main Outputs" are tied to Ouputs 1 | 2 and Headphone 1 Output.  It also states that Outputs 3 | 4 are tied to the Headphone2 Output so they also receive the master bus.

Is it possible to reconfigure this within Universal Control or anywhere within the OSX audio or Midi preferences?  I purchased the unit under the assumption that I would have 8, or at the very least 6, Outputs available to use for routing as needed.  This is typically the behavior of any other interface I have used in the past.

Both my headphone outputs work for the Main Outputs, but I have nothing plugged into the monitor outputs. I wish I had more detail on how this was achieved, I just know it is possible.

If this is true I am having the same issues...I also was under the impression that 8 outputs means 8 ****** outputs regardless of what or where you wanna send them, maybe it should be sold as grouped outs or Line Outputs grouped, but not as it is, making people believe its 1-8 individual outs....

Almost 800$ later and I see that’s not the case!!! Presonus you may just have screwed me big time...

If this is true and it’s NOT 1-8 individual outs then I’ll be wanting my money back as it was advertised falsely.

Would really like a reply from someone from Presonus about this issue...

Hello,

It is possible!

Go to Universal Control, ctrl + t, in the top right corner click on the cogwheel and click on Mixer Bypass.

I specify that I am under Windows 10 1909 x64

Hoping to get as many people as possible out of the galley!

Many thanks, clintsacr - that's exactly it. Sorted. Why on earth is that not the default?

I've bypassed the mixer and I still hear my two sets of monitors playing at the same time. (One set connnected to MAIN OUT and 2nd set to 3/4). How can I then utilize the Universal Control mixer to at least just control the volume of either set of monitors separately?!?! :(

....and why isnt ANYONE from Presonus answering? It's 2023 now!crying

Thanks!
