Why cannot extend a frequency range though you can theoretically write values in fields. but after setting e.g 30kHz, the value jumps back to 20kHz ?

It would be good to see at least whether there is a noise and the level of it.

it would tell whether there is a problem with some components of the hardware.

Hi. To be blunt I don't see why you'd need this. Humans really can't hear beyond 20kHz, so any sound beyond that is just wasted data. Most studio interns start their career by low-passing tracks at 20kHz before the real mixing session begins. M
