Can you detail more about "SO not reading them"?
Mac and PC .wav files are interchangeable if it's truly a wav file. Can you open the wav file on your pc and listen to it? if so, open up SO, then click on file , open up a new empty song, and drag the wav file onto the middle of the work area. It should automatically create an audio track showing your wave file (see pix). Hit start, and if you don't hear anything but see your meters flashing, you need to make sure your audio setup/device is correctly selected.
