Hi all!

I'm in the process of connecting up my external hardware effect racks and external pedals.

I have 3 x Alesis Effect racks and 3 x Strymon Pedals.

Please see attached images.

1. I observe from looking at the back panel of the mixer that there are 8 Mix/Outputs (Ports9-16) or should I include Ports 1-8 as well? and there are just 2 x Stereo Aux/Inputs?

2. If there are 8 mix inputs isn't there a bit of bottle neck here in terms of mix out and Aux in? Does it mean I can only connect 2 stereo effect racks to my mixer?

3. If I wanted to connect the 6 effect units  how can I achieve this?

4. Should I be connecting them in mono or stereo?

Please can you advise about this ?

Hi,
You can connect your six external FX processors up to your mixer in stereo. This will use a total of twelve ins and outs on your mixer so this will leave you with only four available Flex Mix outputs. You could use the two AUX inputs plus the Tape Input to bring 3 of your FX units back into the mixer and then connect the other three to six of your input channels (such as inputs 19-24).

You'll obviously need to decide whether you can afford to allocate this amount of infrastucture on the mixer to your FX units (given that you already have four in-built stereo FX units in the mixer which don't use up any I/O's).
