There should be a way to notate small slides (with no note designated FROM WHICH to slide) on fretted instruments without resorting to littering the score with slurred grace notes, particularly when writing double-stops. The scoop would be a good way to do this in lieu of a "free" slide tool being added, but this is currently only usable by jazz wind and brass.
