My ultimate goal is to be able to use hardware in mixing phase. I'm having trouble achieving that. Right now the studio 192 is the my interface the dp88 is my ADAT. The 192 is connected via usb3 and the dp88 is connected via optical cable. Right now I'm using my 500 series Clariphonic to test using hardware in mixing phase, also using a DBX compressor. I've tried using a Insert cable to the trs line outputs on the 192. I've also tried going from output of hardware to input on interface and input to output. I've tried both as and insert. I've also tried setting input and output on the channel in Pro Tools or as a AUX send where send goes to same out and input as channel that hardware is run. I think my issue is in the set up of the i/o in Pro Tools and UC. Control. If anyone has and guidance on how to get my hardware working in the mixing phase I'd be extremely grateful.
