I see ways to "re-flash" the firmware for the 16.4.2AI series mixers (which has a USB port on them) -- but there is no USB port on the 16.4.2 - and no instructions I've seen on how to reflash it.   Any one have ideas?

A classic StudioLive 16.4.2 mixer or a StudioLive 24.4.2 interacts differently then the StudioLive AI Series Consoles do.  Firewire communication is the only way to complete a Factory Reset on these mixers.  If you are getting this message on an AI Mixer, it could be related to bad firmware programming and it might be possible to do a Firmware Recovery process.  We highly suggest StudioLive AI mixer users Contact Technical Support immediately should this problem occur.

If a StudioLive mixer is showing, "Startup, Please Wait..." it means that the file System is sitting within a prior boot load, that isn't finding a application to boot from.  This normally means that the mixer is sitting like a computer would not able to "find an operating system."  In this case, there are only two options to attempt to correct this.

A.)  You can attempt a Factory Reset on your mixer using the instructions given.

B.)  If this does not correct the issue, you will need to create a support ticket after logging into your PreSonus User Account to request a Return Authorization number and further instructions on how and where to ship your unit to.
