In Studio One I cannot see firewire as a MIDI interface. Audio transfer between StudioLive and StudioOne works fine. But, for example, I like to change FXA or FXB mixer-parameters from the DAW. How can I do that? I am using an Apple MacBook Pro which is connected via firewire to the StudioLive 16.4.2.

The classic mixers only do audio over firewire with Studio One. There is no DAW control. You can control some functions via firewire with the VSL app. You can get it from the PreSonus website.
