Hi all,

I have a probably naive question, considering I'm new to this kind of equipment. However, I am confused and would really appreciate some help with this.

I just got a Presonus Monitor Station V2 that I plan to use for distributing audio in a neuroscience research lab. The input channels to the monitor station will all be coming from simple computer audio-card outputs. I therefore bought cables going from a 3.5mm TRS  to 2 x 6.3mm mono jacks, assuming that would work. I should maybe say that the 3.5mm plug is balanced, despite that the soundcard does not give balanced signal. I assumed this would not be a problem.

When sending the signal from the soundcard to the stereo RCA Aux inputs it worked. What am I doing wrong? I'm sure it's obvious if you know your stuff :)

Thanks!!

Best,

Patrik

Actually the 3.5mm plug isn't "Balanced". It is Tip (Left), Ring (Right), and sleeve (Ground). So it is best to go out of two mono plugs to the V2. Make sure you have it selected and turn the volume up.
