If i’m running Ableton live on my MacBook laptop, can I send multiple channels directly through Ethernet via AVB through the presonus switch to a studio live 3 mixer? I know Ableton can connect directly to other digital mixers via Dante so I was curious about this option for presonus (using AVB). It would simplify my setup. I know Apple has some AVB capabilities built in to its framework.

Yes, this would be possible. Your DAW would just see the mixer as an audio interface.

Since I asked my question, I found on the PreSonus site that using AVB from a MacBook Pro through a the SW5E that is also carrying other AVB protocol-- such as Ear mix or a Studio Live Rack mixer used as a stage box--might, or would cause problems with AVB information flow. Is this old information, or is this still true? Can I plug into my SW5E Switch without messing up my Studio Live 32R that's running as a stage box or my ear mixers? Or can I just disable stage box mode and the AVB information from my MacBook Pro (Running Ableton) will not mess up the flow coming from the board to the 2 ear mix systems and the 32R that I have plugged into the same SW5E. I'd really like to avoid having a drop out in audio.
