I have a Steinberg UR44 interface and have downloaded the Studio One demo. When I plug my guitar in, I am hearing the dry signal even when monitoring is not switched on in Studio One. When I then apply any FX, I am hearing the dry signal and the FX signal simultaneously. Sounds terrible.
The UR44 has a zero latency hardware based monitoring feature. Is this the cause of the problem? How do I solve it?
