Any wav file I import into Studio One does not play (Surprisingly Audacity does this in a brink with no hassle), and when it plays I can hear a crackling sound only. What am I doing wrong?

Files come from different field recorders (Roland R-26 and Zoom H1n) and Yamaha AW4416

Thank you in advance for all your help!

I had this similar problem for ages. I recently downloaded the lasted version of Studio One Pro. I am rebuilding my studio as a fire destroyed my last one. Fortunately much of my audio data was saved on external HD's and CD's. Last night I successfully imported my wave file CD's into Studio One and they easily were able to be dragged over to the tracks from the browser. If you use Windows I can help you. Once you load a CD into windows media player before you rip them into your computer click on "rip settings" and then format. I chose MP3 and then I also clicked on Audio quality and selected "best quality". After ripping them in as MP3's they easily transferred to Studio One and I could play them on my tracks.

I hope this helps you out.

Thank you Cliff, I found the solution myself. Without the Audiobox plugged into StudioOne , track is there but does not play. As soon as I plugged the AudioBox in, all tracks played ok.   I know this is a very basic problem, but it is good to be published in this forum. Thank You.

When I import a song file into a Project file, some of the individual tracks don't play until as much as 70 seconds into a song. For example, when I play back a completed file in Project mode, the guitar part doesn't come in until well into the song. Anyone else have this problem?
