My apologies if this has been asked previously.
I do not record directly to a computer. I record to a Boss BR-8 (I'm used to it and it has served me well), then upload the stems to a computer later on for mixing, mastering, etc.
I received an AudioBox USB 96 to allow me to power a condenser mic. However, the AudioBox seems so geared to using with a computer interface that I'm not sure if I'd be able to use it with anything else. Would I be able to plug the USB cable into a power block and use phantom power, or is there no other option but to record to a computer?
