Question

As a keyboardist, I'll frequently record or import a MIDI performance into Notion. The note that dictates the split point between the bass and treble clefs (i.e. left and right hands) often changes many times throughout a song, but Notion only allows me to set a single split point during recording. What I'm proposing is an enhancement to allow users to quickly adjust the split points on individual notes, a measure, or multiple measures.

I see it working like this:

1. User A) selects individual notes and right clicks, or B) right clicks with no selection over a measure, or C) highlights multiple measures and...

2. Right+clicks to bring up the pop-up menu

3. Under the "Notes" sub-menu, add a new option called "Set Split Point" which is available whenever a Grand Staff is used

4. A screen appears where the user can adjust the split point for the selected A) Note(s), B) Measure, or C) Measures

Result: the selected notes, measure, or measures are moved from the bass clef to the treble clef or vice versa based on the newly set split point.
