Hello there!

I have been reading about it but I am still not quite sure, my laptop is a MacBook Air A1466 EM2925 (8GB RAM, i5 1.6 GHzfifth generation)

The posts I read were saying I would not be able to run that mixer on my laptop, or that it would not be smooth. But it was referring to older MacBook Air versions, could anyone help me and tell me if there is anyway to find out? Do I need just the Apple Thunderbolt adapter?

Laptop:

MacBook Air A1466

1.6 GHz i5

8GB RAM

macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Mixer:

Presonus StudioLive 24.4.2

Thank you

The MacBook Air has a Thunderbolt 2 port, so you will need the Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter. But because this adapter has a Firewire 800 port, you will also need an adapter Firewire 800 to Firewire 400. The SL 24.4.2 has a Firewire 400 port. Otherwise I see no reason why the MacBook Air should not work. Be aware that you can only use Universal Control v1.7.6.

Some literature... ;-)
