Hello. I recently setup a new MacBook Pro 16 with Studio One. My interface is an RME Babyface Pro. I have randomly run into an issue where I’m working on a project and suddenly all sound is replaced by a massive constant buzz tone that is clipping (the main output meter reads +66.66 in the red) the output. It only appears on this Main output.

The program is still responsive (I can mute the output and that works) and I’ve taken the time to bypass all plugins in case one is causing the issue but this changes nothing). I also see the tone in the Total Mix software that runs in the background with my interface. I have to close S1 for the tone to go away (thankfully I’m able to save the project first). Whatever this is it’s “hijacking” the audio output with this buzz and the other tracks are still playing but not generating a signal ( I tried rerouting them to the sub mix buss that isn’t affected my the tone).

I also use Reaper an equal amount and have never ran into this issue there.  Before the most recent event I made sure my interface and the drivers for it are up to date.  Anybody else run into this? Also, I checked to make sure all system sounds are disabled so that should have been eliminated as a source- however I am new to Apple...I’m afraid for my ears and monitors at this point...
