Hi All,

Have been watching videos and reading up, and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Have my guitar plugged directly into the Studio 24C 1 input and hearing dry sound before even opening Studio One. Creating a new track, dragging and dropping Ampire, and still nothing but dry sound. Have clicked the 'monitor' on, still nothing. Also noticed that i can't click on the record button. I'm sure there's something I'm not doing within the input / output settings that's causing my issues, just cant figure it out!

Thanks,

Hi jaylobley,

If the record button is unavailable on your Audio track, this means that no Input has been configured yet. Thus, monitoring can also not work right now. To fix this, create a mono Audio Track. From there, go to your I/O Setup to assign Input 1 where your Guitar is plugged in to. Then insert Ampire on that track, activate Monitoring, and you're good to go.

If you want to record through Ampire, go into Mix view, click to show input channels and then insert Ampire on your input channel.  You still need to enable monitoring in the arrange view track to hear Ampire.

Have figured this one out. It turns out that my internet security Bitdefender was blocking it, though didn’t feel like telling me. After digging around in settings, I was able to authorise access to studio one.
