Focusrite 2i2 "popping" during recording

I am using a scarlett focusrite 2i2 (first gen) to record bass and guitar and I'll get pops in my recording.
They are random, inconsistent, vary in loudness, but are noticeable and appear frequently.
I'm not currently using any vst plugins, or multiple tracks, or virtual instruments.
It's just one track, no effects, recording straight to the daw with the interface.

My attempt at solving the issue:

I've swapped out the instrument cords, instruments, and usb cable.

I've played around with the block size

I've gone into the device manager and disabled the other audio devices

I've changed the effect the power button has on the usb ports

I've changed the usb port I use.

I've installed the Focusrite driver (because studio one won't accept the interface without it)

I've tried the asio4all driver.

I make sure the sample rates are correct.

It's quite annoying and I don't know how to fix the issue.

Computer Specs:

My laptop is a 2019 HP Omen with the i7-9750, a GeForce GTX 1060, 32 gigs of ram, an SSD that windows is running on, an HDD for storage.

The laptop is obviously powerful enough, so I'm not running into any issues with studio one taking too many resources.

The audio interface works well with OBS Studio and I don't get any pops, and Studio One doesn't give any pops when recording with the built-in windows audio mic.

This leads me to think it's not exclusive to my version of Studio One, and that it's not a problem with the interface, but it's an issue with the two of them working together.

Any help is greatly appreciated
