MacBook Pro

Sierra OS latest version, just upgraded

studio one 3 latest version, just downloaded

Just moved over to a matchbook pro.  Scarlett 2i2 interface works fine on a windows machine.

Macbook acknowledges interface and audio plays through it. System accepts audio input through the interface.

The interface shows up in studio one. Audio plays out through it if I use my vst synths.

But it will not accept audio input.

Followed this:

With an interface that is not a presonus, you need to setup the inputs and outputs manually in the "Song Setup" section of a single song you are working in. Follow the instructions below to verify the interface is setup correctly.

1. Create a new song

2. Goto preferences and select Audio Setup

3. Verify your interface is showing in the audio selection box

4. In the lower left corner of that window, click Song Setup

5. Make sure you have inputs created the vertical list that match the horizontal list at the top

6. If you do not see a vertical list, click the "add" button to create one for each input

7. Make sure there is a blue box linking the two lists. Now hit apply and save.

Now you should be able to assign inputs on your tracks.
Problem is:
There is no horizontal list (regarding #5)

I create inputs  and apply.

I open tracks and try to select an input, but the the dropdown list shows "input1 -> none, input2 -> none"

Level on track won't show audio input.

The computer is receiving audio, but studio one is not.

I'm having this same issue, and it's driving me insane.  Can't figure out the issue.  I've tried setting up the I/O's, I get sound through my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, can play back virtual instruments with audio, but I can't get input signal when trying to record my armed track.  Please help!

Thank you mikekaufman2, that was driving me nuts. I saw the interface was split into two devices,

but I'm inexperienced with mac and didn't know I could create another one out of the two.
