Latency is based upon the audio settings, specifically the Device Block Size.

Go into Settings/Audio Setup and choose the lowest Block Size your system can handle without affecting the audio quality.

There are other techniques, but you'll want to start with this.

Also, your approach to low latency monitoring also depends on if you are tracking Virtual Instruments or plain Audio.

There are some good instructions on how to use low-latency that I found when doing a Google search.

I moved from new capable laptop to a strong desktop. The difference is night and day!

No more crackles. I now use block size of 32, while with laptop it was crackling even when using block size of 128.

The audio interface is 1810c. The results were surprising,

I have a somewhat similar problem when recording a guitar solo in Studie One 2 with the audio box 22VSL, no latency at all when I play, however after I recorded my track it sounds delayed compared to what I heard when recording. I have 4 other instrument tracks in the song recorded and I had no problems with them, it just suddenly happened.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
