Question

I need to set up a song format so that the timebase is in seconds at the start and then switches to bars part way through.  Is that possible?  If not, can I merge the two pieces in the project environment, one having a timebase in seconds and the other set to bars?  In case you're wondering why, I have some narration at the start which must be set to seconds and then, when the music portion begins I want to switch to bars.  Thanks in advance for whatever advice you can offer.

I believe this is one limitation in Studio One that is provided by Pro Tools (multiple timelines).

My suggestion would be to change the timeline view depending on which section of the song you are editing.

When working on the narration, switch to "seconds".

When working on the music, switch to "bars".
