Did the free upgrade from Studio One 4 to Studio One 5. Downloaded, but when I go to activate it, copying and pasting in the product key, I just get an Invalid License File message. Thanks for your help.

Did you have to purchase the upgrade?  I was able yo upgrade from 3 to 4 for free but dont seem to be able to do so with 5?

How did you do the free upgrade ? I received a mail with the choice Of upgrading for free or 3 months of sphere for free but I can’t find the link for the free upgrade !

Free upgrades for 5 are only for a grace period which, I believe, started in April 2020.  If you got a free upgrade from 3 to 4 then you are unlikely to get a free upgrade to 5 as well, as I believe that v4 came out 2 years back.

Oh and second answer which answers the main question.  When I did my upgrade, because I side loaded it with V4 Pro, I didn't need to enter licence information.  I have projects in V4 that I don't want to be touched by V5 because once it is saved in V5, you can't open it in v4 again.
