I have a Dell 14 3000 laptop running Windows 10 and a Presonus Studio 24C USB audio device. How do I install the non-ASIO sound driver in Windows 10 Safe Mode ? The ASIO driver installed OK, but I am using my ancient Adobe Audition Version 1.5 editing software. All of this runs fine in normal Windows 10, but the laptop runs like a dead dog with its feet set in concrete and I need to perform real-time audio processing with no operating system interruptions, so I need to run Windows 10 in Safe Mode, but Audition 1.5 does not recognize the ASIO sound driver.
